Meryl Streep será la primera en recibir un nuevo premio honorario del Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto. Los organizadores del evento anunciaron el viernes que Streep recibirá el TIFF Tribute Actor Award durante una gala benéfica el 9 de febrero. El pomposo evento apoyará los esfuerzos del festival de todo el año para promover las principales películas y creadores de la industria.

La actriz es la más nominada en la historia de los Premios de la Academia y ha ganado el Oscar en tres ocasiones.
