El próximo domingo 23 de mayo se realizará desde el Microsoft Theater en Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos, la ceremonia de los Billboard Music Awards, que regresa a su mes habitual después de que la pandemia pospusiera la gala del año pasado hasta octubre.
Para esta edición, donde The Weeknd es el gran favorito a llevarse los premios (está nominado en 16 distintas categorías), el evento llega con nuevo 'host': Nick Jonas, sustituyendo así a Kelly Clarkson quien fue anfitriona durante tres años.
La noche promete estar llena de estrellas. Ya se confirmó la participación de Rosalía, DaBaby, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Juice WRLD, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa y Drake. Los latinos Becky G, Karol G, Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma y Ozuna también dirán presente.

Los Billboard Music Awards 2021 se transmitirán en vivo el próximo domingo 23 de mayo, a las 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, a través de NBC.
Para los amantes de la moda, previamente se transmitirá la red carpet, en vivo, por E! Entertainment a las 5PM (Panamá).
La transmisión de la alfombra roja recogerá todas las confesiones y emocionantes momentos de la llegada de cada uno de los grandes artistas. Sin duda dejarán a la región en alto con estilos que darán de qué hablar todo el año.

Este año The Weeknd arrasó como finalista en 16 distintas categorías. Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma y Ozuna competirán por el premio al Mejor artista latino; mientras que Becky G, Karol G y Rosalía se enfrentan en la categoría Mejor artista latina femenina.
Los galardonas que se otorgarán este año se basan en el período de la lista del 21 de marzo de 2020 al 3 de abril de 2021, y las categorías votadas por los fanáticos este año incluyen el mejor artista social y la mejor colaboración.
